6" X 12" (15 cm X 30 cm) Oil on wood panel

March 24th 2007 it was my first time to go out and paint from nature this season... i was feeling a little rusty and that was probably the wrong time to introduce like 6 new colors to my palette. but i did any way... i had as much fun moving the colors around as i did painting what i painted. it was great to be outside again.

nice to see some shadows again... and the new Daniel Smith colors i got are mind blowing... they react so differently than what i am used to... but so beautiful... it will take some getting used to ... but i think i will eventually get a handle on it... i have yet to paint a figure with the new colors.

I like this composition.I think, part of trees is too much strong. You must try to paint more soft with smaller brush.
